Israeli Artist Roni Taharlev
in a major exhibit at the Grand
Palais Paris
We are delighted to announce that the painter Roni
Taharlev was invited by the curatorial team of the Louvre Museum to
participate in a major exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of
man’s first steps on the moon.
The exhibit, titled “The Moon. Real and
Imaginary Journeys”, will open at the Grand Palais in Paris on the 3rd
of April 2019. It will feature major works of art from different periods in
Western art, including works by Giambattista Tiepolo, Jean-Antoine Houdon,
Ann-Louis Girodet, Henry Füssli, Caspar David Friedrich and Gustav Doré.
Roni Taharlev’s painting that will join this
respectable company is a variation on the theme of the annunciation, titled
“Not This Light, the Other Light” (2018). At present Roni is working on two
other annunciation paintings from the same series, that will be shown in her
solo exhibition in the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art in May 2019.
